Why Nex-Tech Supports School Sports

You can hear the whistlings, cheers, and screams from afar. You can see the swags and colorful shirts. The teens are selling lemonade and cookies along the way. You can perceive the aroma from the many barbecue grills. Parents and kids are walking to the arena with excitement. The young and old are elated. You can see the heart and soul of the town come alive. You can feel the pride and vibe of unity in the community. The arena itself is lit with energy. A Nex-Tech free Wi-Fi hotspot is adding ecstasy to the fun. The Nex-Tech Game Time crew are on the ground, live streaming everything. Today is school sports day in Phillipsburg, KS. This is school sports day in the Nex-Tech footprint. A day where all that is best in rural northwest Kansas is on display.
At Nex-Tech, we take a keen interest in community activities that enhance the quality of life of our communities. For many years, we have supported local sporting events that bring everyone together and showcase the culture of the community. This is because we are local. We live and work in the communities we serve. These are our communities, these are our sports teams, and these are our kids.
Here are a few ways we stand by our local sports teams.
1. Football Donation Program
- We support approximately 35 area schools by donating to the schools based on their football team’s performance.
- We donate T-shirts with the team name/mascot to be given out at games.
- We have annual agreements to support sports facilities with signage and technology upgrades.
- We sponsor nights where we contribute prizes and halftime contests during basketball games and football games.
- We present halftime contests and prizes at home games.
- We host an information booth on the concourse at the arena.
- We sponsor hundreds of youth sports teams across the service area, primarily by covering the costs of team shirts.
- We have paid for the installation and upgrades of numerous scoreboards in gymnasiums and high schools across our service area.
So why do we do all of these?
Simple reason. It’s who we are. It’s where our heart is.
It’s beyond giving money or resources. It’s supporting the people and places that we serve and love.
