Nex-Tech announces a donation to Cradle to Crayons
Moundridge, KS – March 19, 2025 – Nex-Tech is proud to announce a generous donation of $5,000 to Cradle to Crayons, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential resources and support to children and families. This contribution underscores Nex-Tech’s commitment to fostering community development and supporting early childhood education.
Cradle to Crayons has been a cornerstone in the Moundridge community, offering vital services such as childcare, educational programs, and family support initiatives. With this donation, Nex-Tech aims to bolster these efforts, ensuring that more children have access to the resources they need to thrive.
The donation, in the form of purchased tax credits, will specifically support Cradle to Crayons’ ambitious project to raise funds for a new state-of-the-art 18,000-square-foot Moundridge Early Childhood Center facility. This new building will include dedicated spaces for children, playgrounds, a library, a kitchen, and other essential amenities. The new childcare center will significantly benefit families in Moundridge, Goessel, and other nearby towns by offering expanded childcare services, educational programs, and family support. This initiative will help address the growing need for quality childcare in the region, enabling parents to pursue employment and educational opportunities with peace of mind.
“Receiving Community Service Program tax credits gives Cradles to Crayons a strong foundation to bring in local partners who are ready to support and invest in expanding childcare in Moundridge, said Betsy Davis, Director of Community Services for the McPherson County Community Foundation. “The new facility will be able to support the care of over 150 children, birth to school age, giving more parents the opportunity to rejoin the workforce knowing their children are cared for.”
“Nex-Tech believes in the power of community and the importance of supporting our youngest members,” said Rhonda Goddard, Chief Financial Officer at Nex-Tech. “We are honored to support Cradle to Crayons and their mission to provide a strong foundation for children in Moundridge and surrounding areas.”
Nex-Tech’s support for childcare centers is an investment in business growth, enterprise, and the future vitality of our communities. Affordable and accessible childcare is crucial for the full participation of parents in the economy. Nex-Tech believes that by investing in the childcare sector, we can benefit the entire local economy by expanding the labor force and increasing the number of working parents. Over the past few years, Nex-Tech has supported various childcare centers across Kansas, including Rainbow Academy Daycare in Norton, Sheridan County Daycare Duplex in Hoxie, Decatur County Tiny Titans Daycare in Oberlin, and Graham County Little Roosters Daycare Foundation in Hill City.
