CES Retells Story of Nex-Tech’s Community Impact at Smart Rural Conversation
Many of us reading already know about all the good things Nex-Tech does. From Home/Business Broadband Services to TV Now, Managed IT and Cloud to Business Communications Infrastructure, Creative Solutions to Physical Security Solutions, and Cybersecurity to our NOC and Carrier Services; not forgetting our youth services, donations, sponsorships, and giveaways to members of our community. Driven by a passion to serve rural America, we continue to grow, but our fundamental nature has remained unchanged. At our core, we are a community-based and community-focused service provider. In a practical sense, this means that every day we wake up thinking about how we can make life better for kids, students, teenagers, fathers, mothers, families, small businesses, and more in the rural parts of Kansas and the region. With that in mind, leveraging our technology to serve and improve people’s quality of life is in our DNA. It’s not something we try to do. It’s who we are.
Recently, I took the Nex-Tech story to Washington, D.C. where The Rural Broadband Association (NTCA) was having a special conversation on how rural broadband providers like Nex-Tech enable Smart Rural Communities. A Smart Rural Community (SRC) is a town, city, or society where everyone can connect with fiber high-speed broadband, engage in meaningful economic and community activities, participate in the digital economy, and experience economic opportunities. Broadband providers like Nex-Tech enable SRCs to exist. Nex-Tech has been a Smart Rural Community Provider for many years, as we serve:
- Over 20 Counties
- Over 50 Communities (incorporated),
- Over 20,000 Homes
- Over 500 Businesses
- Over 30 School Districts
- Over 15 Hospitals
- Over 25 Libraries
- Over 20 Fire Departments
- Over 20 Childcare Centers, and lots more.
In the course of my story, I explained how Nex-Tech currently sustains many Smart Rural Communities by engaging with dozens of local chambers of commerce, local economic development organizations, city and county officials, school districts, hospitals, libraries, rotary clubs, and other important community partners. I told your story of resilience, innovation, and success. You, our community partners, are the reason we exist. We exist to serve you all and support your progress.
On behalf of the entire Nex-Tech team, and our leadership, we thank all our Smart Rural Communities.
