Nex-Tech Receives Grant Funding to Build Fiber to Kirwin, Kansas

Kirwin, KS – Nex-Tech is thrilled to announce the award of a $637,000 grant to establish a state-of-the-art fiber optic Internet infrastructure in the city of Kirwin, Phillips County, Kansas. Nex-Tech will match $596,000 of the grant project and has received a generous $41,000 in co-investment for the project, bringing the total project cost to $1,274,000. This ambitious project aims to connect 190 locations to high-speed Internet, propelling the community into the forefront of digital connectivity.

Lenora, Kan, 5-16-2024 – Nex-Tech is proud to announce the recipients of the Nex-Tech “Break the Rules” Scholarship. “Unlike most scholarship programs, this one allows high school seniors to depict what they are most passionate about and how that has led to their chosen career path, by sending us any type of entry,” stated Jacque Beckman, Nex-Tech’s Youth Services/Training Manager. “We have received a variety of essays, YouTube videos, and PowerPoint presentations. Our area students are very talented, and this allows them to showcase their strengths and passions in a non-traditional way.”
