Why Nex-Tech Transitioned to One Residential Internet Offering

One of the most important reasons for Nex-Tech’s choice to transition was to simplify the options presented to our customers. In today’s fast-paced digital world, reliable and high-speed Internet is no longer a luxury but a necessity. We understand the evolving needs of our customers and the importance of top-notch Internet service. By offering a single, high-speed option, we aim to make the lives easier for our customers when it comes to selecting a new and essential service.

Our 1 Gig plan is not just about speed; it’s about value. We have included in the $69 per month price our Protection Plus service, which provides everything a customer needs to maintain and support their Internet service. This includes on-site technician installation, a dual-band router, maintenance and support, and a Wi-Fi manager app. By retaining ownership of the equipment, Nex-Tech takes on the responsibility of any hardware issues, ensuring that our customers are not charged for repairs or replacements.

Enhanced Customer Experience

At Nex-Tech, customer satisfaction is our top priority. By providing a managed Wi-Fi service, we offer our customers access to remote troubleshooting and support from our Help Desk. This means that many issues can be resolved quickly and efficiently, leaving our customers with more peace of mind! If a technician is required, there is no additional cost to the customer, further enhancing the overall customer experience.

Leveraging Our Extensive Fiber Network

For decades, Nex-Tech has been at the forefront of deploying fiber-optic networks across rural Kansas. With over 8,100 miles of deployed fiber, we serve more than 70 communities across nearly 11,000 square miles. None of this would have been possible without our customers!

The decision to offer a 1 Gig package is a testament to taking full advantage of the extensive fiber network our communities have built over the years. The decision to offer a 1 Gig plan is also about future-proofing our services. As exciting and advanced as our technology is today, we promise it doesn’t plan to slow its progress down! As technology continues to advance and the demand for high-speed Internet grows, we want to continue to ensure that our customers always have access to the best possible service available. A 1 Gig connection provides the bandwidth needed for most homes to have multiple devices streaming, gaming, and other data-intensive activities all at once with seamless connectivity.

Commitment to Affordability

Affordability was another key factor in our decision. We believe that high-speed Internet should be accessible to everyone, and our $69 per month pricing reflects this commitment. Don’t get me wrong; this was not an easy process; we went from about 6 plans down to one. We had some customers that took rate increases with speed increases, and we also had some that saw their price drop. We went through several versions of the plan before we finalized!  And no, not everyone was 100% convinced this was the best decision to roll out! Overall, I think it’s been positive for both customers and our team. We have seen over 3% growth in customers since launching the plans in February.
